Their reward is twofold.
The first is that they are able to do what thay desire.
The second is that they were either born with a magnificent brain or were fortunate enough to attend institutions of higher learning. The reward has already taken place. (what would a pill that would raise your IQ 50 points on the market be worth?)
That an architect or some other "genius" would choose to work on some assembly line simply because the pay were made the same - is absurd.
Your next line of reasoning is that the value to society as a whole in promoting its self-declared goals should be rewarded differentially. A "token" of appreciation. A tip.
