Russia might default on its IMF loans. That would certainly shake things up.Isn't this the promise of a wider cage, of "socialism in one country"? Or maybe of a new regime of the apparatchiki? Does Zyuganov promise anything more? The end of the money system perhaps?
Support him? Serve in his army perhaps?
I would still like to see EMPIRICALLY SUBSTANTIATED this notion that the working class "has nothing to lose but its chains". Let's go back to Craig Calhoun as I quoted him here:
Workers have almost never had nothing to lose but their chains, and in any case the degree of their immiseration hardly predicts their radicalism.
So shall we find out WHAT REALLY predicts radicalism, or shall we quote the founding fathers of Marxism and consider the matter resolved?
