: : On the debate board here, Doc and Frenchy took the lead in promoting Gates' products as the best ones in town.

I have no idea if it's the best one. I did say that I like it. It's fine. It does what it's supposed to do. It's easy to use. What good would a superior product be if you needed a BS to understand the damn thing.?

Now that the U.S. government has determined
"Determined"? Sorry, there are many folks who say it has been determined that the Second Amendment is a group right, not an individual right.
Glad to know that you support the dictates of the Government. Hey, wait a minute, aren't you the one who said...oh, never mind...

Microsoft 'charge[d] whatever it wanted for Windows without fear that price increases would reduce demand' (ibid.), one wonders how they feel being taken for an expensive ride.
Actually cowboy, I got a pretty good deal on it. I can spare the change.

Care to continue to champion your hero after it's been established that he screwed you?
Determined and established. I guess this is checkmate. God, your smart.

: But the thing is Frenchy and Co. don't care that the free market is proven to be a privately owned command economy time and again, they arent really loyal to their ideology, they just want to attack progressive alternatives that threaten their wealth and status.

'privately owned command economy'...hmmm, I don't believe I've heard that one before. I'll be sure to put that alongside 'surplus value' and 'alienation' in my Marxist jargon dictionary. I love these kinds of terms, they sound so, je ne sais pas quai, intellectual, almost as if they had a real objective meaning. Reminds me of Tarot Card readers who claim to foresee the future based on their personal interpretations of images on cards. If you agree with their premises, then you have to agree with their conclusions.
So tell me, how do you define 'privately owned command economy'?
