The problems of the past will not be repeated in the future. The means of production---thanks to capital's immutable tendency towards concentration---is becoming more and more socialized (centralized) every day.
I think the 'problems' with 'greedy peasants' are the same now as they ever were and the likelihood of revolution made less by the comparative comfort and satisfaction in which modern day western 'proles' exist
