Whether it's paper or plastic is not the issue.McDonalds are one of whole batch of companies who produce far too much packaging. The process starts with extra resources being used and ends with extra rubbish that nobody wants. If all companies concerned had to pay the true economic cost of the disposal of their packaging they would not produce it to such a degree. In an ideal world residents who get McDonalds litter in their front garden should be able to invoice McDonalds for the time spent picking up their rubbish. And maybe add a bit on for a profit margin on top !
