I know that on the surface many protests seem outrageous. However, there are very important issues that need to be addressed such as the suffering of animals and environmental destruction. Whatever calls attention to these problems can not be bad. Those who think it is a waste of time are either selfish or ignorant of the problems at hand. How can you call the defenders of those who suffer and the defenders of the environment outrageous? Should we promote torture and environmental decay? If we keep cutting down all the trees and swallowing all those hamburgers there won't be anyone left to eat at McDonald's.
Maybe we should teach that in school,
