Can you help? In Rockton Illinois a McDonald's is preparing to cut trees
on an inappropriate site of 90 feet between two historic 1830 and 1840
houses. The town is old and small, McDonalds is bulldozing it's way
through the citizens. A 500 name petition has been signed and more is
planned, but the village council is lured by promises of REVENUE.
However, it will seriously affect the character of the town and is
certainly not on a thoroughfare. Why do they do this? I guess to get
their 6000-a-year stores wherever. What about MadCow?Alberta and Paul
Grossen, a teacher-of-the-year in Wisconsin and a local Barber are
spearheading the fight. They need McDonald's corporate pr people, legal
eagles or presdent. They cannot move fast enough..Can you help? Please
