The way to stop drug testing and deny the bosses this excuse is simple:if enough people won't submit to it within any one industry, they have a choice between giving up piss testing or doing without employees. The reason nobody drug tests us bike couriers is that nobody would cooperate, so a drug testing dispatcher would have no couriers to send, any anyone wanting a package delivered downtown in less than half a day would have no choice but to do business with a non-testing courier company(which someone-if necessary one of the couriers-would start). A union(and a strike)are the best way to do this in an industry that already tests, but in an industry dominated by counterculture types(like couriers)the absence of a union doesn't mean someone could try to drug test us. There ARE alternatives to drug testing-one of them is aboard a bike.
