I was on an animal rights list to which was posted a piece describing a
situation in Australia... a statue of Ronald McDonald was bought at auction &
displayed in the civilian owner's shop, McD lawyers accused him of stealing
it, he provided proof of legal purchase, they disregarded it, demanded return
of Ronald, owner offered to remove from public display, lawyers rejected it,
owner offered to sell Ronald back (at a profit), lawyers would only agree to
purchase price, owner refused...
