: I'll critisize corruption wherever it may occur. No, Stu, you'll call it "honor," and you'll call those who criticize it "classic left-wing knee jerks," while denying that you're engaged in "personality bickering" out of the other corner of your posts. "Oh no, I don't use ad hominem arguments, and you're an idiot for even suggesting it."
Yeah, right, criticize Douglas Valentine's book as a bunch of lies, even before you've read the thing, and it's obvious you haven't. And while you're at it, find me the transcript of the libel suit the CIA filed against Valentine, if there is such a lawsuit at all, and of course there isn't. The book, of course, hasn't been retracted; anyone can find it, read it, and check its sources.
BTW, some of the reporters who leaked the nerve gas story are sticking by their story. Those are the people with honor, because the CIA will doubtless persecute them for daring to reveal CIA atrocities. Why such people as April Oliver would stick by their story even after their editors have deserted them after the fact (and you'd think unverified stories would be squelched before publication, that is, if the CIA itself didn't intervene AFTER watching the news), even when their story reveals atrocities committed in the name of the sacred red, white, and blue, even when doing so deprives them of a secure livelihood, is beyond those who have no conception of honor.
None.
