Oh I was thinking about the whole image, really, rather than just the pragmatic effort. Without television, endangered species fur, meat, sugar, microwaves, etc. it just wouldn't be 'Merikan enough. I was envisioning this great, symbolic, "The Tragic Madness of America" type of scene. Sort of Jimmy Cagney "Top of the World, Ma!" blaze of glory image. I'm feeling better now, thanks. :-)
