I can appreciate the humour man.: The kind that has children stoned to death by their neighbors and peers for uttering the Lord's name?
Well I can only say that that was mans actions not God's but I take the point the book itself is riven with contradiction and savagery, I guess that's why I hate the 'old one liner' I get from loads of 'saved' individuals who think 'that's biblical' or 'I'll get the reference' is instant vindication of their position.
: The kind that sits down to a pancake breakfast in the desert with Abraham for detonating a nuclear device in the city of Sodom?
Hold on man if I found a city that was fond of practicing sexual torture and male rape gave it every chance to change and it refused and then had the opportunity to detonate a nuke over it, what do you reckon I'd do?
: Or how about the kind that comes from another planet to make us mine gold then splits leaving us only with an archaic, errant book that has us permanently confined to a dome covered flat earth?
I'm not familiar with this theory, is it the one formulated in 'Chariots of the Gods' about the human race being the descendents of some 'angelic' alien race? If it is, it's just the replacement of God with Odd, the cultural child of the X-Files.
