I'm being tongue-in-cheek, of course, but I continue to believe that given two opinions, one will always be demonstrably more accurate. Spend enough time and cull the opinions away, and you're bound to end up with something that, if not true, is necessarily more true than either of the first two propositions.

Unless one of the original propositions survives the entire discourse, I guess. But how often does that happen? Please note that continuing to hold a belief proven wrong by greater evidence (believing in the flatness of the world, for example) doesn't count as "survival." Wrong beliefs of that sort are only mortally wounded and waiting to die.

Besides, saying that all argument in this forum boils down to opinion makes any decision we reach in here invalid, doesn't it? What would even be the point, then, in correcting me and continuing this thread?

Your ideological premise is provoking but you don't seem to take it seriously.
