SDF: I've never been ostracized from society in the way a homosexual would be immediately ostracized from a heterosexist society such as mine, outside of enclaves in San Francisco, Guerneville, West Hollywood, Santa Cruz, or NYC. Speaking up about heterosexism automatically makes my own sexual orientation a public question for those who would oppose my point of view.
That's what I was trying to say with my last comment about what I have to lose. People fail to criticize heterosexism because they don't want their own character questioned. (I know, you're not to blame, etc. just let me finish.)
