I'm not suggesting panic. I'm suggesting that we get off our collective backsides and do something about AIDS.
The very first thing to do is educate people about AIDS; it isn't 'God's judgement on fags' or anything as absurd; it is merely a disease. And, as with any disease, it can only be beaten by research into causes and transmission.
What I'm arguing against is scaremongering; it's not 'coming' for anyone; it's just a virus. No more, no less.
: The point is not the sensational issue, the point is in Him Who can be trusted to solve these matters? Jesus offers the entire healing. One need not attempt it on his own.
If you are a Christian, then surely you know the phrase 'God helps those who help themselves'?
This is a medical problem. Leave the metaphysical mumbo-jumbo out of it.
And, if you really want to do some good, go work a volunteer shift in an AIDS clinic. That would beat all the prayers in the world.
