Why is one acceptable and the other not?
While I'm not denying that there are some queens with a decided ghetto mentality, there are a whole range of comparatively mild displays of affection that will still get your head kicked in if you do them to a member of your sex in public. Until the populace as a whole accepts that homosexuals are neither better nor worse than heterosexuals, there is still a need for 'gay rights'.
It's no different to 'womens' rights'; equality of status is all they want, not superiority.
