Do wha Daddy, dear friend,What's happenin', slick? Long time no rap.
: ...While we're all waiting for a long haired, white Jesus to fly down out of the clouds and "save" us, would it really be such a bad thing to spend a little time tidying up the place? Until Revelations is completely fulfilled and you are high-fiving Jesus as you ascend into heaven, wouldn't you prefer to live in a world where people cared about each other and their environment rather than a world where nobody gives a damn about anything?
Hey, no one's against cleaning up. But cleaning up the place has nothing to do with salvation. They are two different issues and cannot be mixed.
There is no additive to God's Grace. It's either His Grace or your works (Galatians 4). In the former God does the work and you do nothing, in the latter you're on your own to vainly attempt to earn God's favour through your own meritous deeds. Either/or, not some Grace plus some work.
Perhaps that's the biggest problem with Churchianity today. To many do do's, and too many don't do's. We've invented a new phariseeism and want to build earthly empires.
Jesus has already done the work, and His Kingdom is not of this world. Cheers, and Happy New Year.
