I've always wondered...

Hey Gideon;
Why do the wing-nuts always wait six months or so before responding to such simple arguments? I say something like "we have observed it in the lab and in the field." They wait six months and say "it's never been exposed to the scientific method." Since I almost never scroll this far down the page, I don't see the response, so I don't answer ("himself" has done this to me two or three times that I know of). Why do you suppose this is their preferred tactic? ;-) Just kidding, of course, the answer is all too obvious.
