Kudos to everything you wrote. I do have a lot of experience with animals. I spend several years volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary. We took in all kinds of animals, including domestic animals, and the examples of human cruelty I saw were as sad as anything you might imagine. I spent time with these animals, rejoiced when we could release them or find them a good home, or mourned when we had to mercy kill them. I know animals can think and feel, and I've yet to see an animal, other than a human being, deliberately torture another animal for the sake of torture itself. None.
