: : : Now, would you mind telling me what your subject line ("Better yet, pronounce") was meant to communicate? I can't figure out what you meant at all.
: : : -Floyd: : I was being cryptic. Honestly, that was another example of e-haste making e-waste. I meant to title my message, "Better yet, pronounce Korzybski," but somehow the big K got away when I tried to cut and paste.

: : Sorry about being persnickety. I know there's nothing wrong with citing others, especially when those others have thought deeply about a subject, but sometimes the constant reference to obscure (from the layman's POV) authors, coupled with the use of academic jargon so dense and convoluted that one needs a machete to cut through it, makes me wonder if what's written here on these forums can ever have any practical meaning in the bigger world.
: I've consistently tried to avoid academic jargon, except on technical issues where it's absolutely required, and even then, I've tried to make my explanations as simple and straightforward as possible. I'm afraid there is no way to make some subjects "simple" however, so mea culpa for addressing those topics at all, I guess. Sorry.

Just a quick note that I wasn't pointing the academic jargon finger at you. I only responded to your reference to Mr. Gxclehrglkeyimne~qtuiz
