: When will people learn that some things exist and cannot be expained phisically, When someone demonstrates this to be the case. In the meantime, "science" explains a heck of a lot more than any alternative approach I've heard of. Care to offer an alternative?

Why would you want to do this unless you could demonstrate that there is something wrong with McDonalds? What makes a multinational corporation "bad?" I agree that it is, but is your evaluation based on any specific principles (e.g. environmental degradation, homoginisation of cultures, poor nutrition, etc.) or do you just hate them for the sake of hating something? There are many reasons to oppose multinational corporations, but the most convincing ones are based on sound, scientific analysis of causes and effects, not on emotional responses to ugliness.

What is "progress" in your opinion? And why is purely physical progress pointless? What is the alternative that you're proposing? Metaphysical progress, perhaps? What is that, and how could we ever know if we were metaphysically progressing? Your heart seems to be in the right place, but without your head, it's not going to be very effective.
