Who thinks we have a purpose in this world?

I mean, do all things happen for a reason? Or is there such thing as fate? Personally, I feel that everything that has happened in my life so far, has had a specific reason. It's like God has had a hand in all that I do. Do you agree, or disagree? Let me know I would love to hear what you think. Keep in mind that I am not an extremist. I'm just curious to hear other views.
