: P.S. I read you articles, and there was nothing new there. I did know that african americans fought in the cival war, on both sides (some from the south were promised freedom if they would fight) and I do know that they are still suppressed. Again, im not saying I'm wise, But if this is all your research is, then you need to go more in-depth.Qx: Actually, I'm not here to prove anything but to provide evidence. Hopefully this will result in some readers (maybe not you) deciding to do their own historical research instead of being dependent on "official history". Keep in mind this rather axiomatic saying- History is what is written down and the past is what happened. If you can bear that in mind then you may just understand that I'm not posting here to convert you. The Internet really isn't a good tool for that. If anything anybody can do here gets other people to question the dogma in their daily lives then the effort is well worth the typing.
There's another person posting (DonS)at Capitalism and Alternatives and he states that "I don't find it compelling" when presented with a URL hyperlink. Yet this is the same guy who claims to have "Reason" on his side. He would rather stick to an unbalanced and rigid worldview and there's nothing anybody can do about it. Perhaps you would like to do the same but you're young and not as steeped in the dogma that he is. Therefore there is some hope.
In terms of being "in-depth" I would have to say that most high school history textbooks are pretty goddamn shallow. If you and any of your friends think that what you get in a high school history class is "in-depth" (your words) then try to tell us why democracy is compatible with capitalism. It isn't and if you ever want to attain any wisdom then you have to do your own research and not be dependent on others. Especially corporate-sponsored histories.
