Since that which cannot be seen (the origin of matter, God, etc.) must be interpreted from that which is seen (the physical universe), we must conclude certain things about the Maker.
He is more powerful than I, and He made me, therefore I am responsible to him. He is also the source of my moral code. I don't have to figure out anything for myself -- I'll accept what He said and made obvious in nature.
