I think we should put all our efforts into devising a way to tenderise meat after the death of the animal. Because, I think we should allow all animals to live out their natural lifespan, then eat them. Sure it will take many years to build up a stock but the sooner we start... No animal should have to go through the stress and terror of a slaughterhouse. A compromise sure, but otherwise this difference of opinion will never be squared.
