Homeless people at least have the potential to get themselves some help, whereas the majority of stray kittens are doomed to live a short, disease ridden life suffering from malnutrition- unless some human takes care of it. Its unrealistic to expect people to invite the homeless to stay w/ them (although wouldnt it be great if people did do that and help someone get their life back in order). You really need to educate yourself if you dont believe there is such a thing called "animal cruelty" going on all over the world. It also doesnt take a "fanatical member" of any organization to be against even eating and "hunting" animals- it just takes a compassionate person who cares more about treating the animal w/ respect rather than killing it and stuffing ones fat stomach w/ its dead body.
