DDN: I couldn't agree more. This scripture is also completely at odds with what modern christianity believes with regards to doing "good deeds". Modern christianity asserts that doing good deeds has absolutely no baring whatsoever on what should be our only concern: getting into heaven.
Getting into heaven, according to christians, is based exclusively on whether or not one is born again, an expression they are unable or unwilling to define, but that they specifically insist has nothing to do with doing good things, exhibitting good behavior, etc.
