Daddio: Likewise, just about every christian congregation and organization I've been exposed to touts jesus as being a white guy sometimes even placing a huge portrait or statue of white jesus in the most predominant part of their churches - front and center. Morris: I'm neither black not Baptist, but I've seen several black Jesuses, complete with dark brown skin and curly hair, hanging over Baptist congregations in black neighborhoods. These are usually murals, presumably painted by some church member, since factory-made black Jesuses are hard to come by. They usually look like this...
No Catholic church is complete without statues of Joseph and Mary, and I've seen their colors change based on the racial makeup of the area.
