Drug Proofing Your Kids

Just this morning I saw the strangest way of getting other people's money. An education program that runs for six weeks, on how parents can drug proof their kids. Have you ever heard of anything so far fetched? To think that there is a group of people who reckon they know how to prevent kids from taking drugs without locking them in a dark room with no stimulation or communication. In my opinion it is impossible to drug proof any child, or anyone for that matter, by using the people around them as tools. Chances are if a child feels pressured into popping some pill, because 'all their friends are doing it' they're not going to let their parents know. Furthermore, it would be impossible for the parents to protect that chid from that kind of temptation and ensure that they grow up with social skills at all.

As much as we would like to think that we have some control over drugs and so on. We don't and the only way we ever will is if there ceases to be a market, or if everybody takes control of themselves. It isn't society that takes drugs, it's the individuals and who are we to tell others that they are wrong?
