: :: The Samoans and the Hindus (forv that matter, the ancient Greeks) have tolerated homosexuality for quite a long time, and I wasn't aware that they had undergone a moral breakdown fo society....then again, what do I know?: With respect to any Samoan, Pygamy, dead Greek, or Saharan snowball farmer - what relevance have they as abberant examples? If relevant, why aren't they also to be considered immoral for supporting or accepting homosexuality?
s/homosexuality/democracy - that's another ancient Greek export; also an aberration (how few actual democracies are there in the world?); is that automatically wrong?
: With respect to Hindus, they revere an animal I chop up and eat. So being polar opposites on that issue, I don't stand surprised there are others. Does finding the examples of cultures that have accepted homosexuality persuade you that homosexuality is moral and right? It can only do that if your morality is relative.
Are you still trying to insist that yours is the One True Morality?; that the vast majority of people in the world are utterly wrong; even though you can't prove it in any meaningful and non self-referential way?
If you can't prove yourself to be totally right, then your morality is no less relative than anyone else's, so what the zarking fardwarks are you doing pretending this isn't the case?
Are you now, or have you ever been God? If not, you cannot dismiss another's morality out of hand; as yours is no more solidly based than theirs.
