: Yeah, I know. I got dragged well past my point on that one. I still suggest that homosexuality is nowhere near as normal as the popular elite would have us believe. I also assert that educational and psychologocal acadamia has ventured well past credibility in their support of the Alfred Kinsey studies which still exist as the major influence on modern sex education. Lastly, I suggest that blatant acts of hetrosexual behavior, while demonstrating an additional undermining of traditional values, don't have the same negative impact socially as blatant homosexual behavior. Far more sensibilities are scrambled by seeing two men holding hands than by a a man and woman kissing passionately - even in most cultures.
Yes, yes, and how many 'sensibilities' were scrambled by women voting before it was passed, by abolishing slavery, by prosecuting rapists, etc.? Come on. Once people come out of the dark ages, many things that were once thought to be 'bad' or unacceptable become the norm. It takes time to adapt to changes in societal rules. But that does not mean that change is not needed, or normal & healthy. Can we even imagine life any other way than this? Don't we laugh at the thought of seperate drinking fountains, no gun laws, women's place in the kitchen? Change happens.

: I hope you're right. I just watched a program on PBS that documented a number classroom lessons in support of homosexuals. Watching the young, seven year old faces as they absorbed the lessons of tolerance for gays and disdain for any attitude that might judge the practice as wrong was a surreal experience for me. I wonder what the common man feels when he sees this.
Oh no, do you have your own definition of 'common man' too? If you don't know what he thinks then i'm guessing it's not you, right? I think alot of things in this century must be sureal for you. What is so far fetched about teaching children in a controlled environment, with people they trust, who can properly educate them, things they will learn elsewhere if they don't already know them now!!?? Just because YOU personally don't approve of something, it IS reality, where some people choose to adapt their thinking.

: I'm glad when people are well fed and housed - even homosexuals. I agree that capitalism can offer more to the disenfranchised than other systems. But I also think that the line drawn between tolerance and complacency can be quite thin at times - especially when considering issues of morality. It does not bode well for our society to become too tolerant of an attack from a subculture bent on destroying it.
