Nikhil, my dear chap,Your paradox here is not so difficult to understand, should you attempt to step outside of man's Imperial constraints.
Perhaps what blinds many on the "left" as well as those on the "right" is that they are, in essence, viewing themselves. That is to say looking into a mirror. Allow me to explain here.
The "leftist" is enamoured with the concept of earth-worship. He uses this everyday in his references to the "sacred earth", "mother earth", etc. He wishes to unify all peoples under "oneness". Could that be anything more than a tranquilising of the masses to accept a monarch? If not, then who unifies, and who rules?
The "rightist" on the other hand attempts to build the "kingdom of God on earth", a theocracy if you will. He attempts to build a state church using man's methods. Are these attempts not also Imperialism? If not, who is the earthly leader of these theocracies? Are they not monarchs in practice, if not indeed title?
Now, perhaps unknowingly, the Imperial leftist's umbrage towards his Imperial rightist's counterpart may indeed be found in the very fact that he is viewing himself, only in oppositional form. Both seek the rule of a monarch (Imperialism), however both seek it from opposite directions. Both will destroy each other to achieve it, thus making it easy for the monarch to rule. Oh, how one is used by the ever contrived left vs. right conflict, never realising that they are in actual fact bowing down to an earthly master in the whole process.
What is the alternative? The Kingdom of Grace. Jesus said, "My kingdom is NOT of this world". Christ's Kingdom exists outside of our space/time realm. He has prepared a place for both you and I. Let go of this world, invite His Holy Spirit in, and you will immediately see clearly. God Bless.
