the sad thing to me is wondering why men allow women to be portrayed like this. you all say that you don't like skinny women, and that you're not impressed with plasitic breasts. but why does this keep appearing in the media? it's appealing to somebody apparently because it won't seem to go away. and why do anorexic women with breast implants always have men?
when i was a little girl, raised with all brothers, i always felt that boys and girls were equal. but the older i get, the more i see that women are still thought of as inferior , by most men. i personally dont believe any man is better than me, simply because of his gender. but time and time again, i see that i am prejudged as being weak and incapable by men.
i know this is the truth when i see how protective men are of thier daughters. how many men have i heard claiming thier daughters won't be allowed to date until they're at least thirty. could this be because the father knows how men veiw women based on his own feelings toward women, and he knows first hand by the way that he treated women before he had a daughter. it's as if for the first time, he realizes that a female is more than just a sexual object. she's intelligent, strong, talented.
but how to let men know that all women are beautiful people just like thier daughters are?
in closing i just can't understand that if men prefer inteligent, conservativly dressed women to sticks, why aren't women portrayed this way in the media. doesn't art immitate life?
