Hello! In my country (Sweden) the "animal rights-questions" have been given more atention the last year. I think that it's mostly because of illegal actions from animal liberation groups, but also because people learn more about the oppression of the non-human animals. In my small country (population: 9 million) 76 million animals are slaughtered each year! Over 1 million minks and 15 000 foxes are killed each year (fur) and about 600 000 animals in experiments. Thousands of animals are killed in the traffic, hunters kill about 256 000 roedeers and almost 100 000 elks (mooses).
My questions to you are: Does "animal right fighters" get a lot of attention in the media in your country? Are illegal actions common?
Ha det gott!
