Joe DiMaggio died recently.Joe had a good friend whose young son worshipped baseball players and at the top of this boy's list was Joltin' Joe DiMaggio. The boy missed several opportunities to meet his father's friend in person but finally the day came when he would meet his idol. Joe was going to be in town to sign autographs for anyone who wished to wait in the 1/2 hour line. The boy's father thought he would stand in line to have his son meet Joe but when they came in the door, Joe took the boy aside and began to speak with him privately. In the next fifteen minutes that small boy got to hear from the one of the most famous baseball players of all time about what a wonderful father he had.
