: Hi. Does anybody know anything that would substantiate or refute the rumours I heard that some wacky scientists were trying to "resurrect" the extinct Dodo using "Jurassic Park" methods? Or are my colleagues just pulling my leg? I will also try to do my own research but I thought I'd throw this in for opinion, debate, and consideration.: --: McSpotlight: Sounds pretty far-fetched.
I haven't heard anything about the dodo (seems it would be pretty hard, seeing as how there are only a couple of dried-out fragments left in the world) but a Japanese scientist is trying to clone the extinct Siberian mammoth, using flesh frozen in Arctic ice. he plans, i think, to implant the genetic material into an elephant egg.
