There is no God... The "christians" haven't lost a thing, but will ook rather silly when we all reach the destination point. Suppose there is and athiests & agnostics will have a great deal of explaininng to do... However, I have a great deal of trouble believing in an all loving and forgiving God. Hear me out...
If I lived as a child in a Muslim country and died, would I go to hell for not believing? No. Suppose I was an adult in the same country, raised to believe in Muslim beliefs, never knowing of christianity... Do I go to hell? I don't believe in your God... What if the Muslims are right, and you are praying to the "wrong" god... Will you go to hell?
Suppose tomarrow, I get killed crossing the street in some freak accident. I didn't ask for forgiveness for lying to the telemarketer when I told her I wasn't home... Do I go to hell? Does the serial killer who dismembers folks go to heaven if he asks for forgiveness... I tell ya, I'd be more than a little upset if I was a christian & went to hell while Jeffrey Damer is up in heaven....
I am full of these lovely questions, I could go on for days...
What I'd really like to know is why catholics must confess to a priest... is he really God's receptionist? Do people really need to have a third party translate... What if the priest forgot to relay the message appropriately?
Why would such loving God send a child to starve to death in Ethiopia?
Is god really that proud of the lovely creation he has made here? Seems like one might be disappointed with the current state of affairs & want to take a minute to come check things out... Morale is going down hill, people are killing one another, school yards aren't safe? Well, where is he... Someone who is that loving and concerned about us, surely would want to "check in" and make sure we all know he is there & watching... Golly, I am a parent, and knowing my children were making such a mess, you're darn sure I'd be looking in and providing some more guidance... Where is he???
