Karen...Karen...Karen...You site slave owners and traders and ask if all white people should be held accountable. Duh. How bout all hate groups or other organizations who still claim supremacy. This would be a good target.
I never once stated that anyone who isn't directly responsible should be held accountable. However if a person were sending donations to the KKK- Yes please hold them directly accountable for hate related activity.
In the same vein if you support monetarily an organization that has a reputation for equally abhorable behavior...get educated and get out or reap the consequences.
Unfortunately the original post didn't call for such extreme measures but your razor sharp perception has opened my eyes to my own flawed thinking. When I started I was simply stating that the organization (ie those employed by and who answer directly to, and propogate for) should be held soley responsible. OOPS. MY Bad.
As I have seen at this site , much like mcdonalds vs mcspotlight,we should be pointing the finger at everyone involved no matter how fringe they might be. Excellent point Karen and duly taken.
Fact: certain religious organizations have twisted the original faith to manipulate large masses of people to their own evil ends. These organizations claim piety while slaughtering and exploiting those who refuse to go along with the pack.
Fact: countries are forced to pay for reparations (ie. the us to japan after wwII) why is it unfair to request the same from a religious organization? What would "GOD" say?

Either the organization is guilty or not. Black and white. You deal with your conscience your way and I'll do the same.
