: Why ? He has only done what 1000's of people do every day - commit adultery, lie, cheat...they still keep their jobs ! Is he the first politician to lie ?

MB:
Well SW, he lied under oath, and pushed Lewinsky into doing the same, this was the Paula Jones sexual harrassment case. The end result was Paula's case against Clinton was thrown out. This "man" obviously thinks he has the right to hit on any women, invited or not, that he pleases. Would you want this guy making a pass at your girlfriend or wife? Hillary should get a nice sharp knife, and do what Mrs. Bobbit did. Turn him into a unick (sp?) while she's at it. What Clinton did sends the message that it's perfectly OK to make sexual advances at work, who cares if the environment turns hostile as a result. Also, that it's OK to have sex on the job, or give/receive sexual acts.

I will close with an example that many people don't get away with this. Back in 1987, I was an IBM S/36 Computer Operator at a Euless, TX trucking firm. In the mornings, I would be at a vacant space in the Dispatch Area splitting and distributing status reports to the various dispatchers, fleet managers, and some of the executives. At 6:30 am, the night dispatcher would still be on duty, and we had a new guy on that rotating shift. He was there all of 3 weeks before he got fired. The reason for his termination: One morning, he and a contract female janitor who was assigned to our firm in the early morning I guess got a powerful attraction, one thing lead to another, and he closed all the shades in the office, locked the entrance, and they got it on. Well, I'm sure there were drivers that were trying to call in at their assigned "check call" time, as well as those that had to leave the yard and get on the road, and some returning from the road. Obviously, while he was taking care of another kind of business, there was many drivers in limbo as a result. To make a long story short, this guy was found out and promptly shown the door. And using myself as the final example, I'm a shy 35-year-old bachelor with no commitments at this time. I don't make passes on the job, and I'm definitely not doing what that doofus dispatcher did. I would never do this at any workplace. And I've never heard of anything like that at my employer. What pisses me off is that I'm one of many people contributing to Clinton's $200,000 a year salary. He has no business doing monkey business on the job, especially with that kind of money, coming from the taxpayers.

Any more questions?
Mike.
