Ah, at last a voice of reason! I have also read the Sierra Club reports and it is frightening. I see very few people in the USA doing much about it. Here in the US we have seen very unusual weather also. We have grown too trusting and comfy in our western ways. My 14 year old cousin is learning in school how the rainforests will be gone in the year 2025. It seems that some people responding here are failing to acknowledge that already over half the world population is malnurished. What does anyone think will happen in 30-35 years when the earths population is doubled. I've also heard it said on this debate "we have plenty of room" This seems very short sited. We do not live on"room" we live on natural resources. It seems Western culture has removed us from the fact that we are dependent on the earth. We do not control it. TV has short circuited some peoples sense of reality. www.toowarm.org
Also, I highly doubt that Al can afford to pay off a team of 2500 scientists, the Sierra Club (to name just a couple) to promote his political agenda. Does anyone read any more?
