Day 250 - 15 May 96 - Page 40
A. Talking to someone. He had some of the leaflets. No,
well, he had leaflets in his right hand.

Q. Which leaflets were those?
A. Well, I took it to be the leaflets.

Q. Why did you want to get a copy of the leaflet, you had had
several?
A. I just wanted to make sure the leaflets being handed
out was the leaflet I was concerned about.

Q. Were you not concerned about the short version that you
also had a copy of?
A. I did not even know there was a short version, I did
not know that until the next day. I did not know there was
a shorter version being handed out.

Q. I am not talking about specifically on that day, I am
talking about you are saying you never ever seen the short
version of the leaflet prior to this day?
A. I had seen versions of the leaflet, many versions of
the leaflet, from elsewhere.

Q. Why were you only concerned with the fact sheet that is the
subject of the action?
A. No, I was not just concerned with the fact sheet,
I wanted to get a copy of the leaflet that was being handed
out on that afternoon.

Q. How far were you away from Mr. Gravett at this time when
you saw him half in the cow suit with leaflets in his right
hand?
A. I would say, again, about the same distance from here
to the end of the court, roughly. Perhaps a little bit
more, not much more.

Q. When you saw -- what was I doing at this time?
A. Right. You had your back towards me and you were
talking to another young girl. When I say 'young girl',
young woman. The banner, you certainly were not holding
the banner, and I am sure the banner had been taken down,
your banner; the white banner was still up.

Q. So, I was just standing there talking to another woman?
A. Yes.

Q. Right. Was that all you observed before you went in again?
A. No, no, no, no. You both turned round and walked
towards, it was only 2 or 3 steps, the wall, that is when
I saw on the floor against the wall was a hold-all. Next
to the hold-all there was a small pile of leaflets, and on
top of the hold-all were some more leaflets. These were
certainly of the type complained of, because the top page
was the very distinctive cartoon and the heavy print.

Q. How far were you away from me at this time?
A. I would say about from here to half way down your pile
of documents.

MR. MORRIS: About 15, 20 feet?
