Q. So you agreed with it in some respects, but you did feel
that where a Manager was complained about some kind of
action would be taken?
A. From having been discussed at a rap session myself,
no. The Store Manager would talk to the individual
Manager; and I would say the Managers that had been talked
about and complained about had actually made the effort to
change.

Q. Under "Job image": "Which aspects of the job do you not
enjoy?" "Pay." "How could McDonald's improve its image as
an employer?" "More pay." You did not speak out and
disagree with those at the time?
A. I did not disagree with those, no, because it is very
much dependent upon the people that are there. If you look
at another one, the pay appears to be in the "good"
section.

Q. But at the meeting that you were attending, you agreed with
that?
A. No, I did not say I agreed. I would not have commented
on it.

Q. You did not feel strongly enough to disagree?
A. It -----

Q. You would have been quite happy to get more pay?
A. There is no point in disagreeing. It is a sort of free
speech thing for the crew that are there. If they feel
like that, they are perfectly entitled to say it.

Q. Are you not also entitled to say, "I disagree"?
A. I am, but I am not there to defend the Company. So if
they have a disagreement, they are perfectly able to act.

Q. You agreed with it, did you not?
A. No, I did not.

Q. That is why you did not say anything?
A. No, I did not agree with it in the slightest.

Q. Do you normally just sit back and take no notice and not
say anything when people say things that you disagree with?
A. It depends. The majority of the time, the rap session
is held in the middle of the week at a point where
everybody is going to go out for a drink afterwards, and
you do not really want to make the meeting any longer than
it has to be.

Q. So it is something that has to be gone through and got out
of the way to conform to the Company procedures?
A. No. It is the crew, the individual crew, that go.
Basically, they are happy to go along and discuss their
problems, but they do not want somebody standing up
saying, "I disagree with this", for whatever reason, if it
is a negative point. If it is a negative point, then you
leave it as a negative point. It is the way it works.

Q. But they do, do they not, because normally it is noted when
