12 A. Yes. It is Anne Tobin, **************, *************.

20 MR. MORRIS: You spent six months working as a researcher for
21 Jane Gabriel Productions; is that correct?
22 A. Yes.

24 Q. On the making of a documentary film about McDonald's
25 employment practices?
26 A. Yes. Well, not employment practices, but about what it
27 was like to be in a McDonald's store.

29 Q. What is your background; what is your academic background?
30 A. I went to Sussex University, where I obtained a
31 First Class degree in history, and then did postgraduate
32 research and got an MA. That is my academic background.

34 Q. What positions have you taken since then?
35 A. After leaving university, I worked for the GLC, in
36 fact, as a senior policy officer, working on housing and
37 transport in particular. I then went -- I had worked
38 previously for the BBC before I went to university, so
39 after that I returned to television and did freelance
40 research. I worked for Jane Gabriel. I have worked for
41 Channel 4 Daily News programme on the Streetwise segment of
42 that. I have worked for Emmerdale television, for
43 Emmerdale, on Yorkshire television. My most recent job was
44 working for BBC television's Heart of the Matter programme,
45 where I was assistant producer.

47 Q. What was that about?
48 A. I worked on a number of programmes for that. The last
49 programme that I worked on, in fact, was about the working
50 of the Children Act, where I had to interview
51 Mrs. Justice Bracewell, in fact, for that.

54 A. I spent some time working with her.
