Q. Is that something that is obligatory? Do franchisees all
have to attend?
A. Franchisees do have to attend the full training course,
yes.

Q. Right. That applies to the franchisees in Ireland as well,
does it not?
A. They run their own training courses over there and they
attend some in the UK.

Q. In 1985 or in the late 1980s the Managers were trained in
the UK rather than having their -- did they have a separate
training facility in Ireland at that time?
A. They did not have a separate training facility.
Courses were held at the offices of a franchisee or they
attended courses in the UK.

Q. So the same courses were run, some in the UK and some in
Ireland?
A. Not necessarily the same courses.

Q. So some of the courses they had to come to the UK for?
A. Yes.

Q. Right. That included the AOC course?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you remember which other courses that included?
A. The franchisees would attend courses at Hamburger
University from Ireland.

Q. What about the Managers that were working for the
franchisees?
A. They would have courses at this particular office in
Dublin.

Q. Were these courses that were in Dublin run by the UK
Company?
A. Some were, some were not.

Q. Who were the rest of them run by?
A. Area Supervisors in Ireland.

Q. So from within the Irish Company itself?
A. That is right.

Q. Were any of them run by the corporation, the US company?
A. The US?

Q. Or the parent Company?
A. Not from the United States, no, not to my knowledge.

Q. But there were some run by the UK Company?
A. That is right.

Q. Do you know how long the situation had been going on for,
that Managers were coming over to the UK from Ireland for
the training on these courses?
A. I do not know specifically, no, but as long as they
