Day 160 - 21 Jul 95 - Page 13

  Q. Does it take a long time to become a good cook?
       A. I am not really sure.

  Q. Did it take you a number of years to become a good cook?
       A. I suppose it depends on what you are cooking really.
It is all according to what you are cooking.

  Q. Do you use recipes?
       A. No.

  Q. Or did you used to use recipes?
       A. Not very often.

  Q. We have not got a lot more now. You said you are not keen
on rap sessions and you prefer to speak out about a Manager
       to his or her face?
       A. Yes, I rather he be at a rap session to hear what they
have to say in front of him and not behind his back. The
rap sessions are very handy. When Tony was there they were
very good. The rap session was taken. It was taken to
Head Office and then typed out and brought back and then it
was pinned up on the wall.

  Q. Did Tony take the rap sessions himself?
       A. No. He heard about them after and then it was put up
on the wall in the crew room. Then Tony would hold the
crew meeting and discuss all about the rap session.

  Q. But I am just saying, you said that if you have criticisms
of a Manager you like to air it to their face?
       A. Yes, I will tell him, yes; I would not shout it out in
front of customers, or anything like that -- we would not
       talk behind -----

  Q. So is it the situation that one of the main purposes of a
rap session was to voice your opinions about individual
       Managers?
       A. Yes, it could be -- happen.

  Q. You did not need to go because you would do that direct
       anyway?
       A. Yes, but I have been to them, you know. I have been to
       a rap session.

MS. STEEL: Have you seen -- this is a photocopy here -- these
McDonald's customer comment cards? They are yellow and red
       print on a white card?
       A. Customer what, dear?

  Q. Customer comment card?
       A. No, not -- "customer comment"?

  Q. Perhaps the easiest thing is if I ask you to get it out?
       A. We have a, you know, a what's-its-name for customers to
put comments on. It is red and white.

  Q. A white card with red and yellow print on it?
       A. No, it is red, I think. I cannot quite remember.
There is a card for customers' comment there. Maybe, yes,
it could be yellow -- I have seen so many.
