MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, it is towards the bottom.

THE WITNESS: Yes, towards the bottom, yes, it is about seventh
from the bottom in the list. Then there is a list that
says: Number of fatal injuries, non-fatal major injuries.
Those are specified under the regulations as having to be
notified immediately to the enforcement authorities within
24 hours -- immediately by telephone, apologies. They
include things like break of a major bone in the body or
amputation or something along those lines. Then there is
the fatal major injuries rate per 100,000 employees. Now,
this gives 219.4 per 100,000 employees.

  Q. So that is 2.2 per 1,000?
       A. Yes.

  Q. But then we have to include the over three day injuries as
       well?
       A. That is right.

  Q. We get the total and we get 25 per 1,000?
       A. All reported injuries are 25 per 1,000, yes.

  Q. But if you look at page 108?
       A. Yes, we have distribution, hotels and catering.

  Q. Then lower down we have distribution, hotels and catering
       and repairs?
       A. Yes.

  Q. We would have about 4 per 1,000 there, 3.95?
       A. Yes.

  Q. But lower down I see there is actual hotels and catering,
       four lines lower?
       A. Yes, at 252. -----

  Q. So that would be 2.5 per 1,000?
       A. Yes, Recipe for Catering is obviously a different
       statistical base.

  Q. I am sorry?
       A. I say the figures I quoted from Recipe for Catering,
I presume, use a different statistical base.

  Q. What do you mean Recipe for Catering?
       A. The HSE publication Recipe for Catering that I quoted
from yesterday when I quoted a figure of 31 per 1,000,
I can assure you, is accurate, and it is obviously a
slightly different base from this one.

  Q. What do you mean by a "different base"?
       A. Well, this here said -- this is all reported, as
reported to all enforcement authorities. I presume that
includes local authorities. I suspect that Recipe for
Safety is figures reported to the Health and Safety
Executive alone which would account for a slight difference
       in figures.
