Day 063 - 07 Dec 94 - Page 31
corrugated is concerned; is that right?
A. That is correct.

Q. In the light of that, is it possible for you to make, or in
the light of the material that is contained in this sheet,
is it possible for to you make any sensible estimate of
what the proportion overall might be?
A. No, I only have an actual figure for the total amount
of recycled.

Q. I know. I understand that, and it is from your calculation
of overall recycled percentage against weight that produces
your 71 per cent that we find in CVE 2?
A. Yes.

Q. Yes, I understand that. But my question was whether you
could make any sort of a sensible guess or guesstimate, if
you like, about what overall was likely to be the position
within the recycled content as between post-consumer and
post-industrial, or whether it is not possible?
A. Not at this time. The only remark I can make is that,
for instance, one of the larger suppliers which happens
here to lie on top Europa Karton ---

Q. The first batch?
A. -- the first batch it is one until ---

Q. Eight?
A. -- seven.

Q. One to seven, yes. What were you going to say about that?
A. -- is all post-consumer material. They are a very
important supplier to us. Polar Cup are a relatively
important supplier but then, for instance, I only have both
PI and PC or in some -----

Q. They do not break it down, do they?
A. They do not break it down, in general. So, it would be
difficult for me to hazard a guess as to what the PC PI
content would be.

Q. Thank you Mr. Van Erp. I have one other question about
these documents or arising out of them and your
cross-examination about them. Mr. Morris noticed that on
page 23 Polar Cup Finland -- one can see clearly that it is
Finland from the bottom of the page left-hand side -- only
put 30 per cent recycled content into -- 23, Mr. Van
Erp ---
A. Yes.

Q. -- only 30 per cent recycled content into their corrugated
packaging?
A. Yes.

Q. I think you drew attention to the fact that the Spanish
limb of the Polar Cup used 100 per cent; do you remember
that?
A. Yes.

Q. You said: "Well there was only a small amount of recycled
