Day 060 - 02 Dec 94 - Page 14
Q. So, to the UK as well?
A. To the UK as well.

Q. What about other packaging?
A. Cups could come from a number of sources in Europe.

Q. Where do they come from then?
A. Some cups are produced in the UK, some are produced in
Finland, Scandinavia. We did have a supplier in Spain at
one time. I am not sure whether we still do because I am
not responsible there.

Q. Before we leave cups, when you were talking about cups, are
you talking about the paper cups or the foam cups as well?
A. Paper.

Q. What about the foam cups?
A. The foam cups where they are used -- they are not used
everywhere -- are sourced in the UK.

Q. All of them?
A. There is only one supplier for Europe, that is in the
UK.

Q. What other countries are they supplied to?
A. I cannot be absolutely certain. I know that Germany
and Austria do not take them. Holland, I do not think
takes them. That is all I am aware of.

Q. So, you are aware they go to other countries in any event?
A. Oh, yes, many other countries.

Q. OK. You were going to move on to ---
A. Paper bags.

Q. -- paper bags, yes?
A. In the main are sourced in Scotland for Europe and
France for Europe.

Q. That is where they are made?
A. That is where they are produced, yes.

Q. Is that so for all the paper products, that they are
sourced mainly from Scotland, or is that just the paper
bags?
A. That is paper bags, only paper bags.

Q. Only paper bags, right. So, what is the source of the
other paper products used by McDonald's in your kind of
region?
A. Well, I have talked about cups and I have talked about
bags and I have talked about cartons. What others are you
referring to?

Q. Paper wraps?
A. Paper wraps are sourced in France and Germany for
Europe.

Q. They go all over Europe from France and Germany?
A. Yes.
