This is an example of petition of objection against a planning application. Petitions are useful for raising awareness but remember, an application cannot be refused simply because lots of people object to it. Only comments that are relevant to planning issues can be considered by the planning authority and therefore it is very important to encourage people to write a letter of their own which will carry more weight.
