The U.S. policy caused atrocity in the Vietnam conflict. Those
responsible for them should be brought to justice.
The fact that the U.S. failed to act in an upright manner in every
single facet of that conflict does not eliminate the moral superiority
of the principles we espouse. Those shortcomings are due to the failure
of men to be perfect. What you will advocate is a policy which does
not fight imperialism if you keep arguing with me. The U.S. was
involved in a fight to defend a set of values which is demonstrably
preferable to oppressive imperialistic communism. Mistakes
were made to be sure but what is wrong with a fight against tyranny?
